Kalamazoo (Gibson) Model K.E.H. Amplifier |
||
Kalamazoo was Gibson's "budget" line, and this 1940 model K.E.H. amplifier would have been the companion for a Kalamazoo lap steel guitar. This must be one of the most attractive amplifiers of the era, with its checked tweed cover, with black and orange stripes, and a black crackle finish speaker grill. It is a small amplifier, measuring 12 inches wide, 10 inches high, and 8 inches deep. A single 6L6G tube drove the 6 inch electrodynamic speaker. The power output was probably about 5 watts. | ||
