Telechron Model 5H59 "Satellite"

The Telechron model 5H59 "Satellite" is a most unusual design from just before the start of WW-II.  Though its name suggests a celestial body, it has always reminded me of the blur of a spinning airplane propeller.  The hands are positioned between two pieces of glass.  The rear one is flat, and the front convex.  The numerals are painted on the inner surface of the rear glass, and the center area is mirrored.  The white "foot" is plastic.
