Gilbert Lucite-Cased Alarm Clock

This unusual small alarm clock was made by the Gilbert Clock Corporation of Winsted, CT in the late 1940's, and is the model 1250.  The case was made of injection molded Lucite and the rear cover was chrome-plated brass.  The motor design was covered by US patent no. 2,382,333, which was issued to Arthur Poole, the inventor of the Poole clock, in August, 1945.
