Lawson Model 217 Wood Cased Clock

This is a Lawson model 217 clock from the late 1940's.  The mahogany case was accented by a pair of decorative brass castings, but it is still a fairly plain design, and was probably priced near the bottom of the Lawson line.

The most interesting aspect of this clock is the connection it establishes between Lawson and GE in the late 1940's.

The label on the bottom of this clock shows the same model number as the Lawson "Zephyr" (P-40).  From this I conclude that it is the style number that differentiates the various Lawson clocks, not the model number.
