Airline Type "K" Ribbon Microphone |

| The Airline model "K" microphone dates to the mid-1930's and was sold by the Montgomery-Ward department store chain. Airline was Ward's store brand which covered radios, phonographs, audio equipment, tubes, and the like. This is a ribbon type microphone of indifferent quality, but the streamline styling makes it a real standout. I don't know who actually made this microphone, but it was quite possibly the Universal Microphone Company. |
