German and Japanese WW-II Microphones

German WW-II Microphone
This is a hand-held push-to-talk carbon microphone is clearly of WW-II vintage (there is a tiny swastika on the back).  The inscription "Feind hört Mit!" on the front translates to "The Enemy Listens In!", a constant reminder to the operator to maintain security.

This hand-held carbon microphone is Japanese and probably of WW-II vintage, though it could be earlier.  The handle is wood, the housing is nickel plated brass, and the mouthpiece is black bakelite.
