New Haven Combined Key and Sounder | ||
This unusual telegraph
instrument was, supposedly, manufactured by the New Haven clock
company. It combined a conventional key and sounder into one
compact instrument. This innovation was patented on Feb. 14, 1888
(patent number 377862, issued to B. Oehmen).
Unfortunately, this unit is missing some pieces, and some of the pieces that remain are not original. Most of the original nickel plating is intact, however. |
