Emerson Model EP-406 |
||
The $12.95 1941 Emerson model EP-406 shared its basic design and chassis with Emerson's "Five Plus One" Catalin set (EP-375). One of a number of "patriotic" sets which were produced just before America's inevitable entry into WW-II, this one featured a group of three grooves which ran across the top and down each side. These were painted red, white, and blue. Otherwise, it was a plain, boxy set, but the lighter colored wood is a refreshing alternative to the dark finished walnut and mahogany that was so prevalent in those days. | ||
