| While not an especially exciting design, this Standard model 1040 radio is quite striking, with the black knobs and dial in stark contrast to the bright red Plaskon case. It was made sometime in the late 1940's by Lang Radio Enterprises of New York, NY. I have also seen this set in lavender, and it was surely made in other colors as well. A set using the same cabinet design was sold under the Federal name. |
