Westinghouse WR-166 Radio

The 1939 Westinghouse model WR-166 radio is a compact 5-tube set, with attractive Art Deco styling and an interesting two-section vernier tuning dial.  The outer section is made of translucent white plastic which is lit from behind when the radio is turned on.  This set was also made in white Plaskon, as well as a painted finish over Bakelite, in a variety of colors.  The inner tuning knob was color matched to the cabinet.
