Air King Midget Radio

Air King Midget Radio

This small, white Plaskon radio was made by the Air King Products, Co. of Brooklyn, NY circa 1940.  The model number is unknown, but it may be a model 23-X.  It is a poor-performing, cheap, four-tube design, but the chassis from this (and similar Air King sets) has become popular recently as a basis for "fantasy" Catalin radios using cabinets made originally for air ionizers.  It was also used by Hamilton-Ross in their "Telatime" clock radio.
